Many responsible parents are concerned that their children are watching far too much TV and are also watching inappropriate programmes that are shown after the 9.00pm watershed. Parents are also worried that children are playing their PlayStation™ for too long and too late in the day. Many independent studies over recent years have shown that too much watching of TV is adversely affecting the health and behaviour of children. With this in mind TVTIMER has been developed to combat this problem by giving parents control of their childs TV.

TVTIMER is designed to control the TV and therefore limit how much the TV can be watched, and so help educate your child to use their time wisely, to pursue alternative activities and show them that there is more to life then watching TV or play the PlayStation™ .

Because the TVTIMER controls the TV it indirectly controls how much time your children play on their PlayStation™ .

Unlike ordinary timers where the setting can be changed by anybody and the TV plug can be removed from the timer, this timer has four special features:

	All settings are PIN number protected
	The TV mains plug can be locked onto the TVTIMER.
	The TVTIMER allows you to set a maximum of three TV viewing periods a day giving you control of when the child can watch TV.
	The TVTIMER allows you to set another time each day, known as TV TIME, this is the maximum time the TV can be watched that day.
